New item for 2013. (OVER SIZE SHIPPING AND DOUBLE BOXED) 57 x 21 12. We have the factory double box (or crate) our planes and they do an over-kill which makes the freight higher because of box size. But who want a busted plane and try to collect from the fgt. carrier?
This is an ARF and not a kit. Comes with complete hardware kit that includes- 3" foam wheels' fuel tank alum. landing gear that attaches with 3 screws, spinner, pushrods, tail wheel, etc.
Details are as follows:
Fuselage- Lite ply construction with lighting holes to save weight, Servo tray is installed and is located under the wing (1 servo for throttle, 1 servo for rudder ). Rudder is pull-pull system and only requires 1 servo. Requires 2 servos for the elevator halves and are mounted in the outside of the fuselage near and below the elevator halves. Firewall measures 4 1/2" wide and 5" tall. Landing gear attaches 7" back from firewall and uses 4 screws. Fuselage has a hatch located between wing and firewall with a spring loaded latch that lets you service the fuel tank (or batteries if you are using electric power)
Wing- 2 1/2 inches thick, 18 1/4" cord, symmetrical design, built up balsa design. has alum. wing tube joiner to make a 2 piece wing for easy transport.. Uses 2 aileron (1 under each wing half). Ailerons are 28 1/4" by 3 3/4" each. Uses 2 flap servos.
Tail Feathers - Flat (no airfoil and epoxies to fuselage) 10 1/8" cord including elevator halves. Horizontal stab. is 23 1/2" on leading edge tapering to 29 1/4" at rear (with elevator halves installed). Elevator halves are 11" by 4" each. Vertical stab. is 10 1/4" tall and 11" long tapering to 3 inches at the top (rudder not included). Rudder is 11 1/2" tall. Rudder is 5 inches at the bottom tapering to 2 1/5 inches at the top.
Recommended Throws- 45 deg. (up and down) for all surfaces

We put the Drastick together with the DLE 35 RA. It is a speed demon. Crow flaps worked really well. I made a few low passes across the field at 118 MPH.
We were fine tuning the engine and had the field to ourselves as everyone was giving us the space we needed to make low passes to test the prop and engine setup. A friend of mine was taking video with his IPhone. We werenít ready to start filming with our cameras yet as I had a few tweaks I needed to make.
Some dumb Axxxx (without calling out he was taking off) took off with an electric foam P-38. We didnít even know he was in the air. I started to make a high speed low pass and the engine coughed a couple of times. As the plane was about mid field I banked it left to come around and land to tweak the needles a little bit.
When I banked left I hit this P-38 square in the middle of the of its wings right on the nose cone of the Drastick. This was the second flight right after the maiden. The P-38 evaporated. The Drastick was paralyzed because the collision cut all power to the receiver. When we got to the crash site we couldnít find any P-38 parts and do you know why?
The twin electric motors, speed controllers, servos, receiver, props, and batteries were in the fuselage and wing of the Drastick. The collision didnít hurt the Drastick beyond repair but it went in nose first because I had no control of the servos.
Here is the video of the collision. Again, this was only taken with his iPhone and not intended as the video for the plane. He had just stopped recording because I was coming around to land but he got the collision right before the camera turned off.
