REQUIRES ENGINE.....1.20/180 GLOW OR 26/43CC GAS OR ELECTRIC
This WW-1 style trainer,"Der Graf" is reminiscent of the early Fokker fighters, with its comma-shaped vertical stabilizer, parasol wing, round cowling and antique-style wheels. The "Der Graf" is capable of all the basic aerobatic maneuvers like loops, rolls and wingovers. Its take-off and landing characteristics are completely predictable and easy. A take-off roll of only 30 feet gets this big bird in the air, perfect for smaller flying fields! Combine the low operating costs of the gasoline ignition engine and you have an airplane that will become your favorite fun-flyer.
LANDING GEAR DETAILS: Wire with wooden covers, color matched to plane and epoxy to wire. 6 1/2" wheels and are 18" wide. Landing gear is 12" tall with wheels attached and connects to bottom of fuselage. This will give you more than enough prop. clerance. Scale type plywood tail skid.
Fuselage details: 61" long with rudder and cowl attached. Has removeable hatch that attaches with 2 dowls in front and 2 bolts in sides of fuse and can be removed with plane completely assembled. Hatch opening measures 7" wide and 10" long, but openes up to 16" long Inside fuselage (plenty of room for you electric pilots or a giant fuel tank for gas) Constructed of plyood and covered. Push rod tubes are pre-installed and comes with all the hardware to hook up all the control servos. Elevator halfs operate on 2 seperate servos and 1 servo for the rudder. All three mount in fuselage under the hatch in the pre-installed servo tray.
Cowl: Hand painted fiberglass. Measures 9 3/4 wide and 5" deep. Gives you about 5 1/2 " to the prop washer with engine installed.
Wing: 82" wide. 15" cord. Leading edge is sheeted with balsa 5" back for extra strenght and rest is built up. Wing tips are solid balsa. Wing halfs should be epoxyed together and using the hardwood joiner, but it has been reported that it can be used as a 2 peice design by sliding it together and adding 2 flat alum. bars across the 2 halfs and screw securely into the wing.
TAIL FEATHERS: All built up construction. Elevators are 28" wide and rudder is 11" tall.
